very solid battle on boths part. like the concept usage from both. feel one had the more creative, personal concept usage than the other. multie usage was pretty clean on both parts, set ups were also solid. for me it came down to who I thought had a harder hitting verse. good spar fellas. low to med 7's. Both were nice reads, it's good to see some simplified bars that hit harder than you'd expect. Coree, I have to say, the low point of your verse was a few awkward schemes that didn't flow too well. Plus, there was a few broken multis to start off also: SLOPPY TO GET BATTLES(6) / JOCKEY'S WET SADDLE(5) .. GET AMMO didn't fit with the next string of multies also. Punchwise, the opener had a lot of buildup. Wet saddle reference was alright, a little bland conceptually. The Van Gogh concept was nice but the wordplay didn't work with the sentence: "I'll a mural quicker" - took away from the polish. Grind w/ Ease / Pine tree breeze scheme wasn't my cup of tea, I didn't like the choppiness of it. Win descent wordplay, a little awkward grammatically. Striking chins/Asian sweatshops jab was alright, a little forced but it was clear enough. Your closer was a dope concept, maybe the wordplay could have been adjusted to work grammatically, it would've been more polished: E.g. 'I'll make you "A sore, trouble" ... A few adjustments and it would have been a polished verse. You need to double-take more often and make sure you have clarity as well as fixed multies and a clean structure. A few iffy punchlines and wordings but the concepts were quite good. Bleu, schemework was more polished although I wasn't a fan of a lot of the multies. Horseshoes punch? It didn't really have a double-sided nature to it so I thought it was a little bland. LAME GETS MORE BRUISED / CANKA ORE DO / PLAYING HORSESHOES - not a very clean set of multies, it was a strain to read it and keep the flow up. I liked the "Friend Texted You" bar, wordplay worked well as the reference was very clear and broadly relevant. Rolling over in his grave - Clear play on words but it wasn't anything more original than what I've seen before with fat/overweight concepts. Underwhelming jab. I liked the C.S. EYE punch, maybe needed a bit more polish to keep it fresh and more established. Closer was extremely played and looked as if it was rushed. Schemework was basic, ABAB structure: I suppose at least you switched it up, made for a more interesting read. You have some real good ideas, you just need to work on your multies and make them less awkward with syllables that flow into each other better and create a better cadence for the verse. I'm not a fan of choppy, awkward multies. Work on that and work on making your set-ups clearer so that the punches hit harder. I enjoyed the read gentlemen. Winner had more unique concepts that were executed slightly better, both need to improve their schemework though. Vitty's vote's in. Voted: Coree Soprano /

Great Battle, tossup and should be hotlist if it isnt already. Vitriol had the most accurate vote expo that anyone could give. This came down to slightly better/cleaner execution of concepts. One was a bit heavier on wordplay, but some of it was forced. I felt one had more creative bars, but the more simple bars came off more aggressive in impact. Yall deserve W for different reasons, so RESPECT 2 both, but there can only be one... FV in. Voted: Coree Soprano /
