hmmm I was gonna give the winner a 7 but I had to deduct points for using some played concepts....Anyway, one mc is indeed elevating a bit but not a lot. he attempted to use wordplays... all he need to do now is use them better that actually makes sense both ways. also need to make his concept work in terms of set up and delivery. at the moment is a bit messy and choppy......the other guy came clean with set ups, flow was decent, just need to be a bit more original.... the "handle bar" line/ concept's been used many times even I used it a few times.... also a few played concepts but good attempt to make it fresh. fair vote. no hate. both had good and bads. Low to low here. Sax, your verse had multi's on lock as it seems but dragged them on a bit too much for a simple 8 bar battle. I'd recommend doing shorter schemes with direct, hard hitting punchlines so that you can fit more content in. I'd also recommend doing a bit more complex punches with relevant setups as well. All in all your verse was fairly solid, but the lack of hard hitting haymakers & the few broken multi's took away from the overall fluidity of the verse. I'd also recommend edging up your structuring as well. Crooked, your opener was very, very played & basic, that to match with the severly broken multi's added within the scheme almost had me cringing. I like that you're attempting more complex stuff, but you should add more relevant set ups to make your punches shine. That, and please work on your multi's. See how "PEARL-HARBOR-FLOW" has 5 syllables and "HURLED-A-BOXER-BRO" has 6 syllables? That renders the multi broken, thus not good to use. Gb though, I got my winner based on complexity & fluidity.
